Spring 2009
Hi fans and friends, I am back in Vancouver after another Eastern Europe Tour. I had a fanatastic and successful time. First, I was in Belgium and started with a show at Cyrus Cafe, thanks to my friend Vikki and her friends, Belgium and Holland are always the perfect place to start. Next, Ryan Air flew me to Trieste, Italy and I started my Slovenia and Croatian Tour in Crnomlj. I played Metelkova, which is a place worthy of its own documentary, I hope to produce one day and ended in Rijeka, Croatia, where I was introduced to Medica/ Mead and a chance to play in Split next time I’m around, a dream come true. Thanks Simon and Penx. The highlight of this tour was being introduced to Slovenias’ rich Puppet heritage, through my friend Maja and her partner Ivo. Together we are creating a “Puppet Cabaret for Kids”. This show includes music, video and 7 style of puppets, Maja a puppet master, has been performing the art for years and works at Ljubljanas’ National Puppet Theatre. From mimic to marionette to shadow puppets and myself on piano, drums, harmonica and squeaky toys, we are creating a new form of live music and live puppetry for children and adults alike. The new news: as of the end of February 2007: I returned from my Fall Tour in Europe alive and exhausted. I love the Adriatic Sea, Croatia, Slovenia, fresh wine and olive oil. Now I start to prepare for my CD release here in Canada. It has been a cold winter, especially with no heat, though I have lots of hats and blankets and leather slippers with rabbit fur…cozy… My New Years has not been without drama and I’m more then ready to leap into sunny spring mornings. I am working on a couple videos of my 2 recent tours. My children’s CD is finished but I am working on the cash it takes to put out a book and a CD. I also promise new pictures and new posted updates, but I can’t seem to work the photo section of this website.. to all my friends, music lovers in and out, sideways and sometimes slouched over the couch. love Jen

With the beginning of this year, Jen has 2 new releases; her 4th album, ”Pretty Little Stars” and her 5th album, “No Kangaroos In Africa”, a children’s record she wrote with her brother Robert Paches and a children’s book she wrote and illustrated with the same name is also due out by years end.
Both albums were recorded at Profile Studios, engineered and co-produced by Chon.
